As an artist:

Vim and the Nation, led by Parisian artist Vim (a.k.a. Guillaume Destot), artfully blend alt- soul and electronic rock to probe the depths of the human psyche and address urgent social issues, such as environmental crisis, transhumanism, or violence against women. A London sojourn in the '90s, a deep love for English literature, and a childhood steeped in African-American soul music shape their unique sound, further enriched by influences from artists like Stevie Wonder, The Doors, and The Beatles. Prince, with his groundbreaking fusion of rock and synths, holds a special place in Vim's personal musical pantheon. Vim's bilingualism adds a distinct flavor to his lyrics, full of Anglo-Saxon and Transatlantic cultural references. If you're a fan of early Prince, Depeche Mode, Little Dragon, or James Blake, Vim and the Nation are your next musical destination.

As a songwriter:

Guillaume is a recognized expert in English lyrics, but is also active in production, topline and French lyrics. He has recently written and/or composed for/with metal band Atlantis Chronicles, EDM artists Joan Alasta, John Linhart, Callen, Johnny Chicago, pop artists Steffn, Ellie Bloom, Udo, Sloww and of course Alice Animal, with whom he regularly collaborates.
