An Pierlé
“Combining the poetry of classical music, the intimacy of songwriting and the feel of rock music".
Belgian pianist and singer-songwriter An Pierlé made her mark in the music world at an early age. After studying classical piano, she joined the Studio Herman Teirlinck art school in Antwerp at the age of 17, where she developed her first solo program. Her career took off in 1996 with her performance of Gary Numan's "Are 'Friends' Electric" at Humo's Rock Rally. She then branched out into theater and television, before signing with Warner Music Benelux in 1998, resulting in a spellbinding debut album, Mud Stories. With subsequent projects such as Helium Sunset and White Velvet, An continues to enchant Europe with her captivating melodies and stage presence.
She has also composed soundtracks for films such as "The Brand New Testament".
